We are so excited to share our new babies with you all and the weather is looking good so come join us for a pre-season visit at North Georgia Zoo! We can’t help but want to everyone to be able to see all the amazing babies being born. We had over 50 baby animals born this month! Baby lambs, goats, alpacas, porcupines and more!

In the early 90s European pubs that served local or traditional cuisine began adding the term gastro to their name to express their commitment to fine food as well as drink—and a new genre of restaurant was born. The movement has now reached the south with Recess Southern Gastro Pub.

The first known southern gastro pub, Recess features a unique twist on southern American cuisine in a lively social environment. Our name, Recess, was chosen due to our close proximity to the Federal and County Courthouses and our dedication to providing the perfect spot for that much needed break. Description: This four-part series offers participants a “how-to” in mountain biking in cooperation with Woody’s Mountain Bikes. Basic skill building will progress to longer rides over four weeks. Bike safety, equipment and gear will be discussed. Mountain bikes and helmets provided. Ages 12 and older. Register in advance. $100 of $110 if paid after February 17. $5 parking. 706-878-3087.
